How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I was googling no sew T-shirt tutorials. I joined because all of the awesome tutorials that were on there.

What projects are you currently working on?

I am making a Felt Orchid Vintage Hair Slide (https://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/felt-orchid-vintage-hair-slide) for a friend going to Costa Rica. Again, I'm moving so I'm not up to full crafting capability (which is driving me nuts!) but next is probably rainbow leg warmers. And after things settle down, I hope to break out the sewing machine!

What does your craft space look like?

Boxes. Haha. I'm moving right now. In the old place I didn't have a craft place so I crafted wherever (Living room, bed, dining room table). I'd like to have a more organized place.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

Glue gun or crochet hook, I would have to say.

What do you craft along to?

It depends on whether my husband is home or not. If he's home, I craft to TV (30 Rock, Archer, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt). Otherwise, music. I run the gamut when it comes to music. I had a Bee Gees thing for a while. One time my cat turned on the Weeds soundtrack and If I Ever Leave This World Alive by Flogging Molly came on and I was really digging it so I ended up listening to it on repeat (I was painting galaxy shoes).

Favorite Craft

It really depends on my mood. I prefer crocheting to knitting. Lately my favorite thing has been making hair things. Just putting stuff together and a little hand sewing. I really miss using the sewing machine and plan to use it more in the coming year.

Melissa's Top Crafts

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I would like to do serious jewelry as in metal work. We are thinking of joining a maker space in the new place that would allow me to do that. I'm drooling.

Who are your crafting heroes?

I gain inspiration from everywhere. I can't really point to one person. I love so many crafting tutorials I've never really latched on to one person.
