This week we meet TesaJanuska who loves recycling and turning something useless in to something useful!
Featured Member Interview
How did you find CO+K and why did you join?
I found Cut out and Keep when I was deciding to start my own blog. A friend of mine, who was also starting a blog at that time, showed me this amazing site with thousands of people sharing their craft projects. I signed up immediately because I knew this site will offer me a lot of inspiration and knowledge along with a great community where I’ll feel good.
What projects are you currently working on?
I'm currently working on planning what to do during summer. Because of my school responsibilities along with the final exams, I have little time to sit down, relax and make something. But I have big projects for the summer, because I'll have a grand design for an earring holder, made out of wire and clay. I'm super exited!

What does your craft space look like?
Since I share my room with my older brother, I don't have the perfect craft space like other crafters have. Over time a lot of supplies have piled up I had to store them somehow. So I have the most used tools in my room on different shelves and drawers (only I know how it's organized…). The ones that are for more casual projects (like the sewing machine and the grinder) are in another room of our apartment. So I can say the whole apartment is in a way my craft space. But I mostly create at my desk.
Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?
That would be Mekol, which is a Slovenian version of Elmer's glue or Mod Podge. It's good for everything – it's strong enough for any kind of material and it's also great for decoupage.
What do you craft along to?
I have a playlist on YouTube, made out of many different artists from different eras, such are Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey, The Black Keys, George Michael, Avicii, Duran Duran, Joe Cocker and my favorite song: Simple Minds – Don't You (Forget About Me).

Favorite Craft
I like the idea of recycling. I usually take something useless and try and find a way to turn it into something useful. Even if that is an old piece of cardboard or a button, there is always a way to turn it into something new.
I love decorating! Decoupage and wood burning are the ones I like most, because it offers so many different options – but you have to know the limit of over decorating. Sometimes just a simple frame around a plain surface is enough.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?
I'd really need to learn to cook… and sew! I can't believe how bad I'm at these two basic crafts. But I did try and actually made a very good chocolate cake not long ago (with the help of my mom …).
Who are your crafting heroes?
I never thought about this, but I could say my mom inspired me to start crafting. She prepared small projects for me when I was little and maybe she is responsible for my love to create.
