When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?

I've been sewing as long as I can remember really, starting at about 7 or 8 making dolls dresses for my Barbie's. I had always watched my parents sew (yep my Dad too) and just started playing around by myself.

Can you remember the first thing you made?

Not exactly, but I'm sure it was a Barbie dress. I still have them all in a box somewhere.

Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?

I'm a sucker for nice basic patterns that I can make changes to and come up with something completely different. My most used pattern is the Flashback Skinny Tee from Made by Rae.

What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?

It's a work in progress, but I love it! We moved house a year ago and I now have a dedicated space which is great. I'm slowly adding the right workspaces and storage. It gets the most amazing light in it and I love working there.

What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?

I like all kinds of music, so it depends what mood I'm in. Sometimes it's classical, sometimes pop. Lately I've been listening to Freddie Mercury.

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

I like knitting, but it's mostly a winter craft for me. I love printing and stamping fabric too but I don't make enough time for it.
