What are your hobbies?
Reading, and hanging out with my two kids - making art or watching movies or exploring.
What are your favorite crafts and what's your craft space like?
I love many different types of crafts. I love to draw most of all, but I love crafts that sort of relate back to drawing. Like crochet, sewing, needlework...making dioramas.
What do you craft along to?
I listen to a variety of music while crafting, or sometimes different podcasts, such as Serial, Ted Radio Hour, Invisibilia.
What was the first project you ever made?
Not the first thing I made, but I distinctly remember around the age of 6 sitting on the living room floor and North and South was on TV. I was determined to sew my own puppet. I made him from an old t-shirt, stuffed his head and gave him a big red pom-pom nose and wooden button eyes. I named him Spike, not sure where that name came from.
What are your favorite items to make?
Tiny Diorama's!
Which other craft blogs do you love to read?
Some of my very favorites were the blogs that started my interest years ago, some hardly blog now, busy with their careers, but still inspiring; My Paper Crane, the volume of work she makes and her constant creativity is truly inspiring, The Small Object, Wee Wonderfuls, too many to name. Tons of random blogs I find through this and that.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I started the crafting blog Smallworldland, with my friend Sarah Boone, she has many amazing projects on the site along with mine, so explore the blog, so much to see!
I also have a blog for my drawings, http://nottoopinkcdean.blogspot.com/ if you would like to see more!
