When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?

As a kid I loved to make cookies with my mom. Mostly I loved to decorate them, but my all-time favorite cookies are her peanut butter cookies, I remember when she allowed me to use her mixer and showed me how to scrape the bowl with the spatula for the first time, I must have been about 6 or 7 years old.

What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?

I love my kitchen however it lacks in counter space. I keep organized by having all of my ingredients out and measured in advance before I start baking or cooking.

What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?

Don’t be afraid to put your own spin on things. Add ingredients you love and make it WITH love.

Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?

I would invite Martha Stewart because in addition to cooking, I love setting a beautiful table. I would cook Korean ribs and kimchee. Of course I would have to bake something ooey gooey and chocolately for dessert and I would make it look adorably cute. I just know she would love it!

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

I’m an avid scrapbooker and photographer. I am always taking pictures of something – my sons have resigned to the fact that I always take more than one picture at a time and my beagle even poses when he sees the camera.
