When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
My grandmother taught me a few basic skills, as a child. I mad a few clothes for my dolls, but soon after, lost interest. Three years ago, I decided to start a hobby and at the same time, my grandmother, gave her old sewing machine. I learned from a "real" seamstress, and has never stopped since.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
A pair of underware for my doll. It really bothered me that she didn't have any.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
My favourite pattern designers are Titchy Threads, Petit a Petit Patterns and Made It Patterns.
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
I share my sewing space with my husband's office, he works at home. I try to keep it tidy, but during a project it can get very messy.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I'm addicted to podcasts. I don't listen to a lot of sewing related podcast. Lately, I've been binge listening to "Serial" from This American Life.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I was an art teacher, so I still paint and build toys out of cardboard with my older son.
