When did you first start knitting / crocheting and where did you learn?
I started knitting about 5 years ago as stress relief when I was working on my PhD. I learned from youtube mainly.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
It was a mug cosy for my Dad, he still has it.
Who are your favourite pattern designers and celebrity knitters & crocheters?
I love simple but sylish designs. My favourite designers are Hannah Fettig, Veera Välimäki and Heidi Kirrmaier.
What are your favourite things to stitch and do you have a favorite item you've made?
I love my Snowcloud Cardigan, I practically live in it in winter. I especially love designing and knitting lace projects, so I've got a few shawls I'm very fond of.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I like listening to Headphone Commute podcasts and we watch a lot of dvd boxsets, I'm happy to knit along to anything though!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I spin wool and card my own fibre blends. I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time climbing hills in the Scottish Highlands.
