I made this creepy little plush kitty for a recent craft swap. The person I made this for is a zombie movie fanatic.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    This is modified from the basic pattern that I found here:

    The body is made out of furry craft felt. The eye is a button. The nose and tongue are acrylic craft felt that I stitched onto the face. The soft sculpture detailing was done with regular thread and a sewing needle. The mouth and x'd eye were done with worsted weight yarn and a yarn needle. I used elmer's glue-all to create the gooey looking "eye gunk". The "blood" at the corners of the mouth is red acrylic paint.

    The body was mostly machine sewn. The head was hand sewn to the body and all finishing stitches were hand sewn. The body is stuffed with Poly-fil polyester "pillow" stuffing. I sewed a pipe cleaner into the tail to make it rigid and bendy.

  3. Step 3

    The collar is also made out of craft felt. I sculpted the boney fish pendant out of Sculpey polymer clay and a small loop of craft wire to attatch it to the collar.
