Shirt Into Top

So the shirt doesn't fit....I smell some sewing!
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

So, my Mum was in the loft doing some sorting, and she came across a couple of huge mens shirts. She was going to send them to the charity shop, but oh no, I stole them for my fabric pile! So basically I cut off the top and then a chunk out the back, elastic round the middle to make it a more girly shape. I then added some lace round the edges to make it look pretty, and a big tie at the back with some cross over straps to keep it all in place. And it cost me the grand total of 40p for lace, the rest was in my stash! My mum says it looks like an apron.... but I like it. What do you think?

It would probably look better if the back wasn´t so open.. but I like the front.
