Based on Rune Staves by Dragon Preacher
These are similar to the ones by Dragon Preacher. I used a piece of Hazel about 3/4" diameter and cut it into 3" lengths. Then I split each piece lengthways to get 6 pieces from each 3" piece to give me a lot of little triangular staves with the bark on 1 edge. Then I smoothed off the sides where I'd split it and carved the runes into them. Painted them red and oiled them for a nice finish.
