Make your own paper mache beads
These are so easy to make and they help settle bead addiction (I have it bad). This would be a great project to do with kids. It does get a little messy, so be warned.

  • How to make a paper bead. Paper Beads - Step 1
    Step 1

    Take a few sheets of A4 paper and cut it in to strips length ways.

    Make a glue like paste out of 1 parts water to 1 part flour. Mix together well.

    Take a stick, I used a cocktail skewer, and wrap a piece of paper up around it.

    Cover the paper in paste.

    Push the bead down the stick and then repeat until the stick is full.

    Let the beads dry and then remove them from the stick.

    Paint and decorate the beads.

I love using this technique to make beads for my dreadlocks, it's cheap, easy and controllable wrapping various tissue paper around them also look quite nice Happy

A4 is just a paper size, it'll be a similar size to you standard sheet of paper.
