These wire cones are easy to create on the tapered ends of your round nosed pliers. They can be made using any fine coloured wire combinations of your choice and suspended either way up. To create matching earrings for this necklace, just make 2 more and suspend from fish hook ear wires!

Description

These wire cones are easy to create on the tapered ends of your round nosed pliers. They can be made using any fine coloured wire combinations of your choice and suspended either way up. To create matching earrings for this necklace, just make 2 more and suspend from fish hook ear wires!

Instructions

For each cone pod: cut approximately 24” of 2 different colours of wire.

  2. Small 112854 2f2016 01 19 124347 112854 2f2016 01 10 174820 cone 2bpods 2b2

Using your hands, wrap the wire tightly and completely randomly around the tapered end of your round nosed pliers. Once you've wrapped one wire, cover that with the other. Neaten any ends.

  3. Small 112854 2f2016 01 19 124356 112854 2f2016 01 10 174825 cone 2bpods 2b3

Thread each cone pod with a length of 0.8mm silver wire, plugging the widest end with a bead. Using your pliers, create a link at the top and a headpin at the bead end.

Connect all the cone pods together with 3 jump rings in between, so that they hang in cascade or tassel style and attach onto a chain.
