Like a very big card!
 <  Image 1 of 4  >

My inspiration for this comes from all the handmade notebooks and scrapbooks on the site - thanks!

I didn't know what to get my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary so I made this!
I had a few ideas for some of the pages but most of them just came as I went along.
I can't seem to stay away from felt or sewing and it just seemed like a nicer front cover then paper.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Collect images.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Cut out a peice of felt as big as you want - cut it out bigger so you can trim it down if you need to rather then start over and waste felt.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Count how many pictures you have and cut out enough peices of paper the same size as the felt.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Arrange pictures and stick in. If you are bothered about the order of the pictures make sure you keep the paper folded in the way it will go onto the felt, like a book. It won't be in the right order if you stick stuff down onto the paper as individual bits of paper.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Draw, make collages, use patterned paper, card, cut up pictures, edit them on photoshop before hand anything! I just drew over stuff in ink.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Poke holes through each bit of paper along the spine. Do it on one peice and then place another peice behind so that the holes are in the right places.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

Sew the paper onto the felt.

(When we went to the Tower of London, this American said 'I've got like a hundred pictures of this god damn bridge' my boyfriend found it hilarius and still likes to think he said birds cuz that would be funnier, apparently.)

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

Sew/stick anything you want on the cover and then take lots of pictures and put them on CO+K!

I love it! I did something similar for my partner's birthday, I hot-glued thin cardboard to the front covers to make it a hardcover. I got the idea from your tutorial, thanks so much!
