Description

Instructions

  1. Cut tops and bottoms off cans and down one side to make a long rectangle, rinsing inside surface to remove any residue. Be careful as the edges will be very sharp!

Press rectangle down flat onto a thick magazine with the printed side up and tape edges down. The magazine should then be placed on top of a firm surface.

  3. Use leaves as templates to trace shapes onto printed side of aluminium with biro.

  4. Small screen shot 2010 03 23 at 17.28.04 1269365945

Use biro to draw in any veins or details, pressing firmly to emboss the metal.

Cut through tape to remove tin from work surface, turn over and cut out leaf shapes.

  6. Use a nail or similar to punch holes in leaves and thread through with ribbon or cord.

  7. Hang individually from an outdoor tree to glitter in sun, string together as a mobile, use as gift tags or to embellish other craft projects like cards or collage.
