Currywurst "german way"

In all German films the characters feast on currywurst. It's time to try too !

You will need

6 Frankfurter sausage 2 Onions 1 Apple 4 Tomatoes 40 g Sugar 1 cup Cider Vinegar 3 tbsp Mustard 3 tsp Olive Oil 8 Basil Leaves 1 tbsp Curry Powder Salt and Pepper

In all German films the characters feast on currywurst. It's time to try too !

Instructions

1. 

   Peel and chop the onion. Peel the apple, (remove the core) and cut it into small dice. Sweat the onion in a pan with olive oil. Add the peeled tomatoes and the apple. Then add the cider vinegar, mustard, sugar, curry and basil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes over low heat.

2. 

   - Meanwhile, cook the sausages for 15 minutes in boiling water, after poking them with a fork. - Mix the sauce - Eat the "curry wust" the German way in a sandwich or cut the sausages into slices, and baste them generously. Sprinkle with curry and serve with steamed potatoes.
