Instructions

  1. Small 2018 11 27 121740 img 0320

Gather the plant pots you'd like to plaint and place on a piece of paper to protect your surface.

  2. Small 2018 11 27 134219 img 0323

Sketch the outline of your cats on the pots with a pencil. Drawing ears on the top third and legs on the bottom third.

  3. Small 2018 11 28 165418 img 0325

Use masking tape to cover one third of each pot at a time.

  4. Small 2018 11 28 165454 img 0327

Mix up your first colour of paint. I made a nice pastel pink by mixing white with a touch of red.

  5. Small 2018 11 28 165512 img 0328

Paint the middle of the first paint pot.

  6. Small 2018 11 29 150907 img 0329

Then paint the top of the second, leaving the triangles for the ears unpainted.

  7. Small 2018 12 13 184755 img 0332

Carefully remove the tape from the first pot and then paint the legs and ears in pink.

  8. Small 2018 12 13 184800 img 0333

Now mix up your second colour of paint.

  9. Small 2018 12 13 184804 img 0336

Paint the top of the first pot, making sure to paint around the ears neatly and around the base of the second pot, missing out the legs.

  10. Small 2018 12 13 184810 img 0340

Remove the masking tape when dry.

  11. Small 2018 12 13 184813 img 0445

Mix up your final paint and paint the bottom of the first pot and the body of the cat on the second pot.

  12. Small 2018 12 13 184817 img 0447

Once dry, use a black fine liner pen to outline the body of the cats and sketch on the faces.

  13. Small 2018 12 13 184823 img 0448

Finish by adding some details with a gold fine liner pen.

  14. Small 2018 12 13 184831 img 0451

    Repeat for the second pot.

Pop some plants in and they're ready to display!
