Instructions

  1. Small dsc 0002 1267156343

First you need a base shirt. After that, you need a base circle that you want to stitch your flower shape onto. I simply cut a circle of stiff fabric and then cut another circle of the black fabric that I wanted to be visible. ______ After you have a base shape, you need a long tube to place around the original shape. You just cut a long strip of fabric, (mine was about 3 feet long) and then fold it in half and sew it together hot-dog-style. Then you turn it so that the stitches are inside. ______ After you have the tube and the base shape, you just start from the center and sew in a spiral motion outwards. I hand stitched my flower because I wanted to add depth to the flower. I just gathered my tube up as I spiraled out.

Then you just pin the flower you have to the shirt and stitch it into place! I sewed beads into the center to make it more flower-like. :) See more DIY when you visit me on my blog!
