How much golden syrup and cream of tartar and water are you using? I can see it is 1 cup of sugar...Really want to have a go at this!! I tried last night, but they didn't set properly

I must make these. I love making hard candy and this looks like the best recipe ever... Might try it with some "Green Dragon" instead of the Absinthe, seeing as its all illegal here in the US. Oh YES! Thank you for this kick-arse recipe, and your mold is ingenious!

Absinthe isn't illegal anymore! I was buying Le Tourment Vert for a couple years. My local shop doesn't carry it anymore tho. You may have to use Lucid..Absinthe and vodka mixed. I live in Idaho...just FYI.

If you can't get Absynthe try Sambucca, Ouzo or Anisette they all have the anniseed flavour, but you would need to add a bit of green (or any other!?) food colouring as they are all clear liquids - unless you get Black Sambucca - now there is a thought - black lethal-lolly-pops.... :o)
